Investigators will provide transgene constructs to the facility prepared using the Bio 101 transgene prep protocol. The investigator will need to provide proof of a working assay to detect founder animals before injections will be performed. The DNA concentration is critical and should be between 1-5 ng/microliter in injection buffer. The facility will inject up to 400 eggs per construct request and guarantees at least 3 founder animals. As potential founder animals are weaned tail biopsies will be given to the investigator for genotyping by Southern blot. When founders are identified they will be transferred to the investigator.
