InstrumentationMass Spectrometry:LTQ OrbiTrap Hybrid mass spectrometer (from Thermo) interfaced with an Eksigent Nano liquid chromatography system. This mass spec can perform high sensitivity and high accuracy mass analysis for routine identification of proteins and post-translational modifications. TSQ Quantum Discovery Max mass spectrometer (from Thermo) interfaced with a Shimadzu high-performance liquid chromatography. This mass spec is dedicated to metabolomics studies. LCQ DECA XP PLUS ion trap mass spectrometer (from Thermo) which can be connected to either an Agilent A1100 HPLC or a Dionex Ultimate capillary HPLC system. This mass spec is utilized for molecular weight determination of large peptides and intact proteins. DNA Sequencing: All orders are subcontracted to GENEWIZ and Macrogen companies DNA Synthesis and Purification: All orders are subcontracted to IDT Company. (Only special / difficult synthesis is done with in-house Applied Biosystems 392 DNA synthesizer and Agilent 1100 HPLC system.)
