Research in our lab focuses on the role of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and integrin signaling in cell adhesion and cell migration. Most of the lab studies fibronectin a major component of the ECM and important integrin ligand.
Just as the ECM is composed of a population of diversely functioning proteins (fibronectin, tenascin, and collagen just to name a few) our lab has multiple projects, including matrix assembly, integrin signaling, and the study of integrins in C. elegans.
