I am currently researching whether or not a mutation in a neuronal pathway causes an increase in genetic diversity in the worm population because they cannot properly sense their food/environment.
I began doing research the summer of 2015 in Dr. Jill Bargonetti's cancer biology lab at Hunter College. I helped to genotype the strains they were using in preparation for bombardments with human p53. I was attracted to work in this lab because it provided me the opportunity to do neuronal research with a model I was already familiar with.
Outside of the lab, I am an avid member of the Princeton dance community, as well as a member of the board of the Princeton Women's Mentorship's Program's executive committee.
