The
Flow Cytometry Core Facility provides support for faculty and students
at PrincetonUniversity as well
as for investigators outside the university at other academic institutes
or private companies. In addition to providing access to the flow cytometers,
we provide technical support to assist in experimental design, data analysis
and interpretation as well as development of novel flow cytometric based
techniques. The Flow Cytometry Core Facility is currently equipped with
two benchtop analysers (a four-colour, single laser FACScan and a four-colour,
dual laser FACSort) and a state-of-the-art cell sorter (FACS Vantage SE
with Turbo Sort II). The FACS Vantage is equipped with 3-lasers, crossbeam
compensation and 9 detectors. It is capable of performing up to 7-colour
fluorescence analysis and cell sorting/cloning applications. The facility
analyses and sorts a wide range of cell types and species including human,
murine, porcine and insect cell lines as well as primary murine leukocytes
and stem cells, which reflects the diversity in the research of the department. |
